World champion martial arts masters meet cutting-edge technology to test the most complex weapon on earth-the human body.

If you like martial arts and anatomy of the human body also physics, you cannot take your eyes from this documentary film. This documentary combines art and science like an action movie. You can learn how much damage a kung-fu master, boxer, taekwando world champion, muay thai warrior or a ninjitsu master cause to a dummy human model. You can also learn the speed of their hits.

In the second part of the documentary, we get information about the weapons of martial arts; Katanas, nunchakus, shrikes, bows and etc. They use the models also in ballistics to show the harm they get from a weapon.

I really enjoyed and learned when I watch this one. Lenght is about 91 Min.

Human Weapon Episode 4: France and Savate

Jason and Bill travel to France to learn the ancient art of Savate, the official hand-to-hand combat technique of the French police. After exploring a castle from the 14th century, and causing an uproar when they interrupt a special training session, one of the guys will go it alone in a ring with a Savate champion.

Human Weapon Episode 2: Philippines and Eskrima

Hosts Jason Chambers and Bill Duff travel to the island nation of the Philippines, where the indigenous fighting style, Eskrima, was formed. From ancient forts in Cebu City to a modern military base in Manila, our hosts will learn the stick and knife techniques that were used to kill famed Spanish explorer Ferdinand Magellan in the 16th century and to destroy the terrorist organization Abu Sayef in the mid 90's. Along the way, they'll attempt to take down a 2000-pound water buffalo using techniques developed on the rice patties at the foot of the Manalanga Mountains, and perfect Eskrima stick twirling techniques on rickety bamboo rafts beneath the waterfalls in the jungles of Badian. Finally one of our hosts will enter a gritty cockfight ring for an Eskrima stick fight against a 5-time world champion.

Human Weapon Episode 3: Okinawa and Karate

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: Human Weapon is a weekly television show on The History Channel that premiered on July 20, 2007. The hosts, Jason Chambers and Bill Duff, travel across the world studying the unique martial arts or fighting style for a certain place.

An episode will consist of a brief introduction to the featured martial art, including footage of established fighters sparring. The hosts will then travel to various locations, learning several key moves of the martial art from various masters. Each move is visually broken down with a motion capture element.[1] After assembling a small arsenal of moves, training ensues to tie it all together. At the end of each episode one of the hosts must fight a master in the episode's featured fighting style.


Hosts Jason Chambers and Bill Duff travel to the island of Okinawa, Japan, the birthplace of one of the most deadly hand-to-hand combat arts in the world, Karate. Our hosts will journey across this legendary island, learning all aspects of the martial art Okinawans created to help battle invading Samurai warriors over 400 years ago. After practicing Iron Body Training in a 600 year-old castle, mastering heart-stopping vital point strikes in an ancient temple and putting themselves through the rigorous training regiments of ancient Karate masters, one of the hosts will step onto the mat to face a black belt, and Okinawan Champion, in a true Karate battle.
