Human Weapon Episode 3: Okinawa and Karate

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: Human Weapon is a weekly television show on The History Channel that premiered on July 20, 2007. The hosts, Jason Chambers and Bill Duff, travel across the world studying the unique martial arts or fighting style for a certain place.

An episode will consist of a brief introduction to the featured martial art, including footage of established fighters sparring. The hosts will then travel to various locations, learning several key moves of the martial art from various masters. Each move is visually broken down with a motion capture element.[1] After assembling a small arsenal of moves, training ensues to tie it all together. At the end of each episode one of the hosts must fight a master in the episode's featured fighting style.

Hosts Jason Chambers and Bill Duff travel to the island of Okinawa, Japan, the birthplace of one of the most deadly hand-to-hand combat arts in the world, Karate. Our hosts will journey across this legendary island, learning all aspects of the martial art Okinawans created to help battle invading Samurai warriors over 400 years ago. After practicing Iron Body Training in a 600 year-old castle, mastering heart-stopping vital point strikes in an ancient temple and putting themselves through the rigorous training regiments of ancient Karate masters, one of the hosts will step onto the mat to face a black belt, and Okinawan Champion, in a true Karate battle.
